As John said the S&W is the best fitting for a kit cage. I usually custom bend everything but if I had to install a kit it would be S&W. I got conned into installing one in a Nova and it fit pretty well.

I personally like the solid type bars. How much power you have and what you want to use the bars for will determine the length. The more power, the longer you would want the bars. 60" is a number that can be bought commercially and would be an all around good set of bars. Try to buy some that y...

Just make sure that it is all perfectly aligned or you will get the rope effect when steering.

Good luck

Should'nt hurt anything if you have the subframe braced to the cage with snout bars. If the subframe moves any on the launch then your going to feel it in the steering wheel.

I just weld tabs with bolt holes to the body, and the same to the chassis so that you can bolt the body to the chassis. I usually do 2 in the back were the frame rails run into the tail panel, one on each side at the rocker panel fron and rear and at the top of the main hoop on each side, then one o...

Tim, Yes send me some pics. I can put the cage in for you without messing with the paint. No problem. The ideal thing would be for you to bring it right after it leaves the paint shop if you have the glass out of it. This way I can get to those welds up front over the dash without any problems. Thos...

You can get the Wilwoods with an e brake option. I have a set of ebrakes for the wilwoods new in the box if your interested. Also there is a street rod type manual valve that you can plumb into your brake line. All you do is mash the brakes and then pull the valve button up and it keeps pressure on ...

John I still use the tape measure. I've been intending on building something but never seem to do it. lol I use the laser alot checking for chassis squareness and it is very handy. I think you could make that work well. Also, if you have the front clip off you could clamp a straight edge the length ...

Todd I have used the Pinto style rack on Chevelle's before. You can get the bumpsteer in to an acceptable range in the travel you will be using. It would be a lot simpler to use the Alston rack with pivot points to match your car. It would take at least one of the variables out of the job. I have us...

Hi guy's. You've got two option's when putting racks on race cars, put them where they need to go and put them where they will fit. Usually the later is what you end up with because of oil pan, balancer and etc.. While I have not done enough Chevelle's/Malibu's to give you measurements to go by, I c...
