I can't remember for sure, it isn't marked with any brand name that I've noticed. Might be somewhere on the instructions in small print? If you want one of that type, I'd highly recommend just buying the original American made puller from http://www.precisionperformance.com/puller.htm this is the on...

Well that didn't hurt too bad, $5 each direct from Isky. They're on their way.

That's not too bad, I've wasted $35 worth of time looking for those dang things.

Found one bad push rod last night, the end was starting to gall a little. Luckily I did have a spare to replace it.

JB - YES! I'm chomping at the bit LOL

 I don't think so Tim.. LOL I know those suckers are around the garage somewhere. Washed the lifters in the parts washer, put them in a coffee can full of oil and two tie bars disappeared when I took them out. Must be like the clothes dryer eating socks. I'll call Isky tomorrow and get some re...

Isky Red Zone Tie Bars Needed

Anyone got a couple extra BBC Isky Red Zone tie bars laying around? I came up missing two of them, dang things grew feet and walked off somewhere.

A dozen ways to reduce wheelstands...

Ok - this is a challange to you guys, let's find a dozen ways to reduce wheelstands...without spinning the tires hopefully! Last night I was at the shootout races in Tulsa watching a number of people fighting wheelstand issues. It's gotten fairly expensive for some of the guys, rack & pinions, o...

I wouldn't think having a stiff chassis would be a problem, should be a big benefit instead.

On the other hand, I do believe you can have springs that are too stiff.

I've got my work cut out for me, the cars in our class are 60'ing anywhere from 1.24 to 1.30's. My best so far was a 1.42, so I've got a ways to go.

So I guess the definition either has changed a little or there is a difference between actual instant center and effective instant center (or something along those lines). Right, that's basically what he was saying that the front bar position changed the effective instant center. So it looks to me ...

I believe that the 400/350 shaft is stronger, but that is based on the fact that most of the ones I see that are built up for high horsepower for sale seem to use the 400 spline. When I was researching getting a new brake for my car, it sounded like the Griner brake was one of if not the fastest tha...

Ok I talked to Travis at Calvert, he was great and went over all this with me. He said basically that on a stock suspension car, the instant center runs from the contact patch of the tire forward through the front spring mount. With the Caltracs, the front point switches to the location of the front...

I've got both of those books, to the best of my memory neither one talks much at all about leaf spring cars, just 4 link and ladder bar. I can change the height of my front spring mount at little (two adjustments), height of the rear mount, the height of the car and perhaps spacers between the rear ...

Finding the instant center on a leaf spring car

Ok, I'm jealous... I've seen all the information on 4 link and ladder bar cars, the calculators, etc. for finding the instant center, percentage of rise, etc. How do you do it on a leaf spring car?? I know the front spring mount has to be related, but how does the rear spring mount, distance to cent...

I have one in my suburban, the guy I bought it from put it in there when he rebuilt the motor. I believe it's one of those "Silent" models because it's not as loud as some I've heard. However it continually annoys me because it sounds like a dry steering pump. This motor has about 20,000 m...

Todd mine did the same thing last year when I pulled the balancer off, stripped the threads on that adapter that screws into the crank. Precision Performance Products that sells the original will sell you just the threaded adapter, I used that this time and it did fine, but the main body snapped in ...
