What cam are you running in your 350/383 blower motor

looking for some ideas on what cam to run in a 383 6-71 street strip setup was running a mile .485 lift 300 duration hydraulic flat tappet in a 350 that made a ton of power for what was in it ran a few blower cams on the engine analyer pro software and really did not see much of a hp increase lookin...

I would not run anything but a SPAL fan Probably the 16" single that they use in nascar qualifying cool downs I have been running a dual 11" setup (may be dual 12") These fans are way better than anything I have ever seen. I have suggested them to people over and over and never had he...

where to get a well machined 350 383 clearanced block

looking for ideas on where i could get a well machined 350 383 clearanced block already found one place that I will probably go with but the wait time may be a little long
just looking to see what is out there

early 70's 3790010 heavy block vs late 70's lighter sbc

anyone out there running a lot of HP on one of the newer sbc 350 lighter blocks made in the later 70's?
I was considering using one in a street/strip 6-71 application
but i am a little leary about doing that but that is what I have at this point?

Thats what we do. Top ring to towards the valley, second ring 180 degrees from it. Oil rings are inline with the pins 180 apart. We've done it like that since I can remember, on all our motors. Personally I dont think its a big deal where they are but I do think the 180 apart is best, just so they ...

this motor survived about 20 years with a hub
BDS recomended a hub and so did Bryant to keep as much weight off of the front.
so with your advice and theirs looks like I will stick with the hub setup and order a hub that will fit the bbc snout

sounds like what happened to my car last time out on the 4th pass broke the crank snout out I am assuming that the crank was twisting and throwing my cam timing off
but mine was a blown application
did you bump up to a higher ocatane gas maybe
