Re: th350 build buy what to do
for any build above 400 hp i would not waste time with a th350...use gm's big brother th400!!!ive heard wise man once say...when using a th350 on a performance application one is running on borrowed time!!! I also know of plenty of people who have been low 9's with th350 and a few who have been 8's...

Get this clown off here. All he wants to do is stir up the pot. I get tired of reading his rambling. He is the type of person that will &*%$ up a wet dream. Maybe he needs to go post on www.whogivesashit.com.

I got a Little M, 400, .040 over. As long as I continue to run 400s I will not go back to a factory block.

Re: Blown Head Gasket or Intake Gasket?
Ok now I am 95% positive it is the intake gasket. After inspecting the oil in the heads just a few mintues ago, with a good light, I can see a slight green tint. I have had thr radiator pressure tester on 15psi for 30 minutes and it has not moved. I am going to let it run in a few minutes to build s...

Re: TOWING AN INCLOSED WITH A 1/2 TON
350,000 I was a little uneasy about that but my father-in-law and a good frien are big diesel guys and they said it sounded like they have replaced everything that needs to be replaced for those miles. The truck books for $11,000. I even found a "blowout" clearance leather kit form one of...

Re: Blown Head Gasket or Intake Gasket?
A while back I was having issues starting the car and I was also losing coolent, oil looked great though. It was blown head gaskets   I removed the heads and the gaskets were pushed way out of shape and leaking between every cylinder, #7 and #8 also had water in them(explains why it w...

How many miles on it....it does sound like a heck of a deal. I got an 01 4x4 4 door with the Cummins and love it.

You read my mind Rob. I am going to change the oil, do that, and was thinking about checking to make sure all the head bolts are torqued right and then see what happens.

I hope not. $2,200 block only 2 years old with about 50 passes...that would suck.

Re: Blown Head Gasket or Intake Gasket?
Oil looks like new on the dipstick. Coolant level was about a quart low the other day, but that was what I emptied out of the overflow. Only time it did it was on cold start up after sitting 2 weeks. After 20 seconds running, it no longer smoked or smelled like burnt antifreeze, got me a little puzz...

Re: Blown Head Gasket or Intake Gasket?
Ok I tried it out tonight and I think it worked. I checked with the guy who gave me the idea and he had compared it side by side with a snap on leak down tester and got the same results. I set the regulator to 100 psi. When I hook it to the cylinder it should go down because no cylinder is 100% seal...
