Re: MSD7531 and E85
I really doubt this is any big deal to take a bit of timing out at launch, you could use the Launch Retard feature on the 7531 to do it. Not sure how many degrees you're talking about but I don't really see it having any issues to take out a few degrees of timing out at launch.

Re: Altered chassis problem
Are other similar cars having problems too at the same track? Or is it just your car? - Just wondering if you're dealing with more a track prep problem than a chassis issue. I assume you've aligned the front end? Got any video of it during one of these passes when it's moving around? Any drive shaft...

Re: Poor prep and radials
Poor / Little Prep and a drag radial don't work well together. If that's the kind of track you're going to be on you'll have better luck with a slick.

Re: street driving with half filled block
I had an old 427 tall deck that was out to 505 with half fill, could drive it around a little around town without a problem.

Re: Sometimes you win and sometimes you loose
Glad you were able to get out and play with it some while the weather still allowed. Now you have all winter to play around with the carb and get that problem straightened out.

Re: Nitrous storage over winter
We freezer fill our nitrous, you can let the bottles get plenty cold. Only issue is some bottles may leak some when the o-rings, etc shrink from the cold. None of mine seem to do that, but long term below freezing you might lose some nitrous.
