Welcome to the site Robert :)
Yes, that pass had too much timing in it. It's hard to distinguish pepper from oil/detonation or if it's from the electrode. But you're right, there are signs on the electrode that it's too hot in there. Same on the ground strap for that pass.

Hi Todd - welcome to the site! Glad to have ya here. I switched from Koni SPA-1's this year to Strange Double Adjustable coil overs, I have yet to try them out. From what I've heard they are one of the few shocks that you can slow down enough, the other brand that was highly recommended was Santhuff...

Thanks for the tip Monty, I'll keep an eye open for one of those. I found out the one Summit sells is probably a knock off of the one made here in the USA by Precision Performance Products - http://www.precisionperformance.com/puller.htm

Those are plenty clear Monty! I must have looked at it before you put those pictures up, last time I looked at your page I only remember seeing the uncut ones. What fuel were you using? I've noticed that different fuels tend to color the plugs differently some are grey others more black. Seems like ...

Sorry never used that brand... I'd just be speculating looking at those terminal names without looking at the relay itself. This is what I think just guessing at it: J+ 12 v + ?? sounds like it may be the other side of the contacts that the timer controls COIL - Stage Activation switch This sounds l...

Hi Terry, in order to post a picture the image has to be on a webserver somewhere. Our board doesn't have an upload feature. If you want to email them to admin@dragstuff.com I"ll post them for you.

Balancer Installer tools
I broke my POS Summit Chinese made balancer tool last night pulling on my balancer. Got a little too carried away trying to make sure the balancer was fully seated I guess. Anyway, it's time to buy a new one, and I'm not buying another one from Summit or Jegs (Chinese crap). Any particular brand rec...

That article of Monty's needs better pictures. I've started taking pictures of various plugs, but need to get a lot more showing things clearly. Here's a picture of a plug out of my car, last pass of the year. This clearly shows the fuel line and that the car was running rich. Also you can see some ...

Lean Tune ups
I read some posts a while back, maybe over a year ago from Patrick Budd (Procar) where he was discussing a technique he called lean tune or something like that. Basically the idea was to start lean and with a lot of timing out, then slowly add timing and fuel putting heat into the cylinder till you ...
