Re: Sometimes you win and sometimes you loose

Well, I'm going to be building something bigger than my 408, that's for sure.
I've been talking things over and I think we got a good plan of action, just need to find a 454 block in my area.
Mike Peters said he knows where one is at, but he won't drive it out to me........Gee....LOL

Re: Sometimes you win and sometimes you loose

Here is what was noticed. I just installed new scorpion rocker arms, they are blue. My other ones were aluminum color. On the outside edges of the rocker arms, there are wear marks and there was also marks on the valve retainers. Didn't notice this on the other rocker arms because they were aluminum...

Sometimes you win and sometimes you loose

Well we took the car to the track on Sat. Nice weather, was going to be a high of 84F, clear skies. I had two goals, to see what the car does on motor only and then see if I can reach my goal of running a ten, with a 150 shot. First run, I hit the best time on motor, 11.36 @ 117.64. Went back to the...

Hi supernova, welcome to DragStuff, good bunch of people on here.

Nice looking Nova that you have, never seen that car before.

You should post some buildup pictures of it.

Again, welcome to the site......

Re: Lexan question

Thanks John,

I used 3/16" and I know it doesn't show it, but I even countersunk the holes for the #8 flat head screws.

I used stainless steel, 1" long screws and 3/8" x 1/2" adhesive foam tape.

Pretty easy job if you ask me.

Thanks for all your advise and tips.

Re: Lexan question

I'm almost finished with my lexan project. I got the rear window made this weekend and plan to finish things up tonight. Trim is going back on. http://camaroforums.com/forum/members/bruce69camaro-44678-albums-evil-pumpkin-4191-picture-lexan-rear-16270.jpg I did the quarter windows last week. http://...

Re: Lexan question

I believe Chris asked this, any issues with flexing?
I was going to wait till it was hot out, cut the pattern and tape it to the glass window and sit it in the sun to heat it up and form the shape.
How much wider all around did you make it or didn't you?
Thanks

Re: Lexan question

Bringing this thread back alive... John, question about your windows. Did you use 3/16" for the rear window or 1/8"? I saw you mentioned both sizes but wasn't sure what you used. I see that you reinstalled the window trim, which I want to as well. What butyl tape did you use and did you ha...
