Re: Big Thanks
You're welcome buddy. I hope this year we get closer to your goals. We still have some work to do. I think we made some good steps. We will just keep plugging away at it.

Work on stiffening the chassis up. Go for frame connectors and a roll bar.

Re: Possable Converter issue
I would check the data logger pickup point. That would be highly noticeable at the gear change if it took 1.2 seconds for rpm to drop that far. I know in my car only going 9.0's things look like slow motion. So 1.2 seconds would be an eternity to me for a shift.

Re: racing heads
If you are looking at Dart, I can tell you I have the 325 Pro 1 heads and the 355 CNC Pro 1 heads on my car. I had the 325's on a 509 and went 9.50 with them at 3150 lbs. So I think you are right on in the 310 area for a 468 if you choose that route. I did however, buy the castings bare, and put all...

Re: Cold Weather
Straight anti freeze does not freeze before a 50/50 mix. HOWEVER, straight anti freeze does not conduct heat as well as water. So in order to get some of the anti corrosion properties and freezing/boiling point modification of the anti freeze and the cooling capability of water you use a 50/50 mix. ...

Re: Engine is coming out of Chevelle for the dyno.
Thanks a lot. I don't put a lot of faith in dyno numbers other than looking for gains. We did find 25 hp from how it was last run to how it came off the dyno. I have heard all kinds of dyno numbers, and figured if it made 850, and we wound up at 880 I would have been happy. I was completely surprise...

The motor is in the truck and ready to go. I'll fill you in tomorrow with the numbers. I am looking for gains over peak power. I know how fast it goes. I need it to run quicker.

Re: bbc 2 bolt to 4 bolt caps?
I've had 2 bolts with main studs to 7500, my dad had his to 8000. The center caps are a big help to upgrade.

Re: racing heads
I think you will do much better with a head in the 305 to 310 range. Look at the possibilities from dart, afr and Brodix. Pay attention to the raised height of the exhaust ports.

Re: NHRA Mandated Collector Tethers? WTF?
The answer is no. The rule specifies that the collector can be welded to the primary tube. So it is about a slip on collector. 3 3/8" bolts on the flange is not under the rule.

Re: Merry Christmas
Glad the spring change worked. Hopefully it throws the front end up quicker.
A little background info. Bruce couldn't believe how soft and bouncy the front of my car was with junk parts. I finally convinced him to look into other springs.
