Re: Bad news for the camaro guys

Damn right player, sounds cool. The Powertour is alot of fun, I've had the gold car on 5 of them. I saw your ride out at the plaza on the beach, but I missed you. We're headed down to Grudgefest this weekend, should be a good time. Walt

Re: Leaf Spring Suspension ?

I put 1 1/2" lowered springs on both our Novas, the body lip sits about 2" above the rim, nice and low. Walt

Re: Pick the "Collective Brain" of the site :)

I've always used Harland Sharp rockers and never had any problems with them. My latest heads weren't agreeing with stud rockers, so I switched to T&D's and those suckers are nice. Walt

Re: Dart Little M dipstick?

I couldn' t find the paperwork, but it's the one Dart recommends, passinger side for a mid 80's camaro or something. I can't tell you what I cut off, but I measured what I've got left, total length tip of the handle to end of the stick - 22 1/4" , from the collar in the block - 1", collar ...

Re: Dart Little M dipstick?

My engine was fully assembled before I was able to get the recommended GM dipstick, the tube did hit. My buddy used his bare block to measure how much we needed to trim off the end that goes thru the block. I also shortened up the total length of both pieces(cause that sucker is really long), to mor...

Re: Another topic for discussion

sverbus, I've got 1 7/8" hedman race headers with 3 1/2" pipe to flowmaster race mufflers. The mufflers sit under the front seats with turndowns angled inward, it is loud but not punishing and sounds badass. I just got a some spintechs with oval pipe that's gonna give me alittle more groun...

Re: Pick the "Collective Brain" of the site :)

I'm not gonna recommend a cam(cause I'm no expert), but you could definatly gain some power with the right one. Our combos and cars are kinda simular, the first real passes with my new 434 were low 10.30s @ 132. The more correct info you can give cam people the better and be honest. Happy hunting , ...

Re: installing subframe connectors

I like the idea of the round tubing for connectors, you could run them inside the car. I know you don't want a bar,but it would really help stop flexing. I had a 73 Vega wagon back in the day and had alot of fun with it, that poor sucker started twisting so bad the int. light would come on at the hi...
