Re: Leaf Spring Hangers

I just switched from hangers to sliders. I had hangers on my car for many years and had a best 60ft of 1.298. I now have sliders and only 3 passes and have already gone a 1.281. So I am convinced that the 'junk' helped.

Re: light weight tube fontend for 67 camaro

That's good news. I should be getting my pistons in the next week or two. I'd say another month and she'll be on the road again. Are you going to run drag radial or the entry level class?

Re: light weight tube fontend for 67 camaro

If both frames being of equal brakes, rack and pinion, tubular a-arms your talking about 30-40 lbs with m/s and 50-60lbs c/m as I mentioned in the meeting.

My dad had an Ls7 with same set up as yours ZL-1 cam with a tunnel ram in a 70's camaro with a 350th that ran10.80s at 125mph at3400lbs. This was around 20 years ago. He also had an Ls-6 before and ran 11.50 at 119.

Yep I have the smith front end, it doesn't save as much weight as I expected, less than 100lbs. It drives great on the street and track. I wish I would've got the 200lb springs up front though, have the 180lb now.
