Re: front and rear drag shocks
The car has changed over the years, started with a iron headed 396, th400, 4.10's on 275/60/15. Changed motors to a 525bbc, glide, 3.73, still on 275's. I would of liked to take a little more gear out if the I had still had that combo in it. Now has a 5.3ls, th400, 3.73, and still on the 275's. The ...

Re: front and rear drag shocks
You can get away with a single's to a point, but that point varies with every car. Examples would be how fast the car is, weight, rear gear, how hard you hit the tire and ultimately how much power you make. I would say a heavier car with a bbc, a th400, a transbrake and a small tire would need doubl...

Re: front and rear drag shocks
I know you said you are only going high 9's to low 10's, but if you ultimate goal is to go faster, do not spend your money twice, buy a good double adjustable now, front and rear. With that being said, I had good luck with rancho's in the rear and Comp engineerings in the front until the high nines....

Re: Ok, so I'm open to suggestions... Twin Turbo & EFI
Bruce has a good point, you could always do a pump gas large cube motor and run a small kit for roughly the same price or even less, but either way you are probably going to be doing chassis upgrades as well. You are having the same dilema I had, I wanted to go faster and be safe while doing it. I h...

Re: Ok, so I'm open to suggestions... Twin Turbo & EFI
How fast do you really want to go with your car? It runs and drives and you have fun with it, correct? Changing over to turbos is expensive to say the least. How about just going EFI and maybe E85, probably see some pretty good gains. It would get your foot in the door with a known setup so you can ...

Re: My new ride
The combo was carburated with nitrous when it was in the nova. I have been playing with efi and turbo stuff for a while, just not mine, so I have a pretty good idea on what I need and what I want to do. Heading to the chassis shop saturday, hopefully I will have some pics to post up.

Re: My new ride
Wikd, the mustang will get my 522ci bbc and glide that was previously in the nova. My current thinking is I will change the cam, drop the compression to the 10.5/11 to 1 range, and run twin sx480 turbos on e85 with efi. I am leaving some on the table with the turbo selection, but the borg warners ar...

Re: My new ride
Walt, the goal is to be sub 3k with driver. Gonna do everthing i can to try and make that happen. I figure with that weight and the power I want to make, the car should run extremely well with the goal of sub 7.50's, hence the 25.3 chassis. I am not building for a class per say, just want to go fast...
