I build 2 deg negative pinion angle into all my rear ends and set all the engines at 2 deg positive. Naturally this yeilds 0 deg variance with 4 deg total offset. Just a few thoughts here.........first of all Chassis Engineering shocks are not good. I think you've already proven this to yourselves with statements the shock looks like it bottoms out. How much more are Santhuffs than Afcos? I grabbed a pair of Santhuffs at my chassis builder's shop and thought they were heavy duty which meant they were also HEAVY. Are they all that heavy? Lots and lots?
How much is lots and lots because I doubt that factory aluminum block is going to handle a load like a fogger can put to it. From what I've read, the factory block is good to about 700HP which, in the world of heads up racing, isn't a lot. For the extra 80-100#, you might be better off going with th...
