Re: 73 Nova Manual Steering Box

There are a bunch of online companies with manual boxes, I just put one on my brothers Nova. A buddy just got a quick ratio manual box from Ground Up and loves it. I've seen several cars with the flamingriver box, it's definately smaller and gives you alot more clearance. I've got to replace mine so...

Re: First trip to the track

Man it all sounds great to me. After all the hard work building a car or changing a combo, making it to the track is the big payoff. Good or bad its an accomplishment , Congrats and let the fun begin.

I've always run 165 radials ,the ones rated for 44psi . I tried 26'' sportsmans once, but didn't like the lack of road feel.

HorsePower on Spike TV had several ORSCA events on this past season. It would be killer if there was more coverage of outlaw streetcar style racing on tv, way more exciting than some of the other stuff I've seen. Walt

On my nova and my brothers, we run 15x8 welds w/5.5 bs with 275 drag radials and they fit great. Both cars have 1 1/2 lowered split leafs and caltracs, I did move the shocks to inside of the frame and move the inner wheel house alittle . I've heard you can run a 1/2 inch spacer ( 1pc billet ) with t...

When I saw Lakeland, I thought it was Lakeland Florida. The track here in central Florida has been around forever and was 1/4 mile when it closed in the 80's. When it reopened (many years later) there were warehouses built on the big end, now it's 1/8 mile. Lately it's been closed several times, but...
