Re: high speed top end fish tail

I think you're on the right track to rethink the front suspension. Try to get some travel up front so you can get some weight transfer. I'd also look at the rear setup and try some more anti-squat possibly to help stick the tires. Looks like it was hazing them and that's what got it out of shape to ...

Re: MSD Can-bus Data

I'd like to overlay my retard curves and other ignition info. The rest of the data would be redundant.

Re: Solar Panel

No way I'm drilling any holes, so mounting it is one of the bigger questions. Not sure if auto trim tape would hold it or not That stuff is pretty stout.

Re: Solar Panel

I was thinking permanent mount and let it trickle charge all the time. I brought the battery into the garage for the winter and have it on a trickle charger. Same for the 4-wheeler and lawn mower. Really seems to help those little batteries live. I've got a long extension cord I can run out to the t...

Re: high speed top end fish tail

Could it be a mismatch of spring rates, front to rear? 650 lb front springs is quite stiff and I'm sure the rear isn't close to that.

Re: throwing in the towel for 2015

Hope it all goes well for your family. Racing will be there when you get back to it. There's always someone looking for a hand at that track so maybe you've got a buddy that needs towing from the finish line back to the pits, needs lining up in the groove, needs help turning the car around for the n...

MSD Can-bus Data

Has anyone figured out how to get the data from the Grid into a non-Racepak datalogger? I'm thinking of going to the Grid and would love to get the Can-bus from it talking to the Can-bus in the AEM logger. AEM is looking into it for me but thought I'd do some digging on my own as well.

Solar Panel

I've been thinking about putting a small solar panel on the roof of the trailer to keep the winch battery charged. So far I really haven't had an issue with the battery being low since it charges off the truck and I usually have at least an hour drive to the track. But it might be handy. Anyone done...

Re: Tabitha Sizemore Photography Quick 32 Photo Shootout--He

I'm in the finals against my good friend and teammate John Warren. Thanks for the votes guys! Its been fun.

John and I are just going to let the finals happen without any begging for votes and we're splitting the pot (which is a poster, no money). Tabitha sure is great to work with.

Re: Time for some changes

I hate to see it go as well, even though I don't use it as much as I once did. YB is too big and too adversarial to get too involved with. I read the technical section in spurts but rarely post since someone will likely end up trying to slit your throat for your opinion. So its nice to have a smalle...
