Re: roll cage help

I just had mine recerted and they do not check for that ! Just the bar size/thickness & locations etc. I was not sitting in the car ! The rule is for your own safety so you will not hit your head on the bar in a wreck .

Re: Widow net

Mine just drops down beside the seat & is nicely out of the way. Others on here have tried this and like it. Vanishing point race cars (where I got mine) sells a kit but u can make it yourself alot cheaper!! U can pick up a heim at the auto parts or hardware store .

Re: Widow net

looks good. You should try a heim on the one end. So u do not have to work so hard to get it up in place everytime. Not hard to install but really makes life easier when strapped in and need the net up in a hurry !! :D

Is the reg mounted solid to the engine? I have always found that the vibration from the motor will cause a solid mounted regulators needle to shake real bad and cause the pressure to change alot :?

brakes

I had to get a brake bleed kit from the autoparts store to get mine to feel right. There is alot of air in a system trapped in the fittings etc. It took me about 3 tries to get all the air out. The kit is only $6 so the cost is cheap for the results and you can watch the fluid until it is clear with...

seat track

When I bought my seat they sold me a mounting kit. The kit was really only 4 - 12"pcs of 2"x3" alum angle with 3 holes drilled 1" from each end of the 3" side for adjusting the angle of the seat, with 1 hole in the 2" side to mount to the floor and 8 nuts and bolts. You...

The peanut ports are good for pulling your race car to the track in your truck. If that is what you have and only want to rev to 5000 they are great for low end but have no top end at all. I would stick with the SBC parts if money is tight. I agree with the idea of a 400 but they are as much as a BB...
