Re: Dse wheel tubs purchaced

When I added a strip to my tubs I had a 29 X 12 on a 12" wide rim under it. There was 1/4 - 3/8" clearance to the fender lip and the same to the frame rail...after notching the frame rail. The problem isn't the tubs, it is the frame. John has commented on other posts that much taller the f...

Re: Aerodynamics

The pvc I'm going to use I don't remember the exact name of it, but sign shops use it. You can heat up with a heat gun and mold it to any shape you want. When it cools it retains the shape it was in. It is what I used to fill the dash in for that drag car i upholstered. That's what I am planning on ...

Aerodynamics

I hope to start a conversation where we can share some tips and all gain some free ET. I'll have to be a bench racer this year, so I have my mind going. Re: Carpet Install Tips?

See if you can find a steamer to rent. That is the secret. You can steam/heat up the backer to the carpet so it will form to whatever. Now it is not going to defy the laws of physics, but you can shape it. Yes, you are on the right track, you will need to seam the corners of your wheel tubs. Make pa...

Re: winter changes/upgrades

Thanks, it was my first one. Not bad for the sales rep (at that time, I'm no longer with them) of the company doing it. The car had sat for a week or two and no one touched it. It was getting close to May...I explained to the guys that the owner will most likely want it back soon. So under their dir...

Re: winter changes/upgrades

Sorry to hear that. The car I did took almost a month. But a large portion of it was in the door panels. https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.50043647337.64453.594302337&type=3&l=371b9eedf7 I did about 85% of the work. My boss did some of the tricking covering of the door panels (around...

Re: Gas vs Race Gas vs E85 vs Alcohol

So going back through my posts...37 pages back...here on DS, I can say this: When I switched to E85 by just swaping metering blocks my car became alot more consistent but didn't really pick up any. After Mark went through my carb (and I listened to his tuning advice - instead of thinking I knew more...
