You may want to check with you Head company. I have Jessel rockers and AFR heads on my SBC. If I set them at .026 the rods come out. Probably due to Jessel small cup. My oil pan is also a Moroso 10 Qt. and it clears fine in my 1970 Nova. About 1 inch clearance. Although only 6 qts are installed. As I was informed you want only the oil you need, so put the pan on the floor and fill it to the off set. What ever it takes is all you need for to much oil is not a good...

What I did and my buddies still cant figure out why I am not ripping out my moter mounts. I took the rubber mounts apart and welded a plate in them and hid the welding on the back side. To look at them you see rubber mounts, when infact they are solid now. My freinds are still scratching their heads...

70 Nova 60 Ft. problem
I have a 1970 Nova with a 429 SBC. Curry rear end, ladder bars, MT streets 10.5 x 26 with 3.70 gears. Our 60 ft. times are 1.9. Im spinning at starting line and each gear ghange. I am looking to install 90-10s and trick springs to the front first. Any other help. One change at a time I think is best...

My 60 ft. is 1.9 with the new engine. Tires are spinning and no weight transfer. Im going to install Moroso front springs #47130 Comp three way 90-10s Part CEE2600 and mor 47500 rear springs. I hope it helps me.
