Re: What rpm do you think i will come thru the traps at ?

My car runs 135 mph in the 1/4 turns right around 7k through the traps. 28x10.5 tire with a 4.3 gear. You need to factor in converter slip into the rpm at the stripe.

Re: rough hp estament?????

From the conversion calculators
10.70 1/4 mile= 6.848 1/8th mile
10.15 1/4 mile = 6.50 1/8th

Also if it makes a true 600hp @ that weight it should run 6.4x-6.6x

Just my .02

Re: aluminum rods

Your going to be able to reuse your rods and crank on a 540 depending on rod length. There were some guys on yellowbullet talking about the streghth of a stock block and someone had some made some straps for the mains that helped over 1000hp. http://yellowbullet.com/forum/showthread.php?t=245217&...

Re: 10.5W - 31 &Ladder bars, how much horsepower can you hoo

I would think with a good DA shock and some track time time you could hook 2000+ hp on that set up. There are guys running 1600+ hp on a true 28x10.5 with ladders to the tune of 7.20 @ 190 mpg. I am NOT saying it would be easy, but it is possible.

Re: A tire question

I know its apple to oranges, but my 28x10.5w on a 12" rim like 9.25-9.5 on a greasy track. Usually bigger slicks like less pressure. Also do you run tubes?

Re: Test Fitting new engine

Very nice set up John you never really have let the cat out of the bag so to say on your new bullet. If your willing to share some specs inquiring minds want to know :smt003. Is it still a 615? What size are the heads and what do they flow, compression? I/ we understand if you dont want to share.
