I'll watch it occasionally but, unless there's some cars on there that interest me, it's time to do something more intriguing like count the # of squares in a toilet paper roll. One improvement would be to get rid of that lameazz Rich Christensen. He's a 'tard about cars and I can't believe he think...

Sorry for all the dumb questions Mike .Thanks Not dumb at all my friend. Very good questions in fact and I'm sure you asked a lot of things others were thinking also. Hope I helped. Sometimes I can't explain very clearly what I'm thinking so, I don't get my point across. Take care. I just sprained ...

HeyMikeI get that but how much energy does it take the spring with less rate to expand? If you had 1000 lbs on a spring with 100 lb rate and 1000 lbs on a spring with 10 lb rate wouldnt the spring with the 100 lb rate expand 10 times faster giving you faster weight tranfer???? You could very well be...

What did you notice between the two? Did you richen it up when trying the N2O? According to this article, C16 would be the better fuel for nitrous use due to the S/G of .735 despite the name N2O on the 120 octane stuff. Also, John, if you don't mind, I'd like to see an article on compression ratios ...

sc racing -I dont know if this makes sense but if a spring with less spring rate has more stored energy when its compressed more than a spring of a higher rate why dont we just figure out where we want the ride height to be and get the spring with least amount of rate that will give us that ride hei...

All other factors (ride height) being equal, a lower rate spring will store more energy when compressed to the same height as a higher rate spring. In order to acheive the same ride height, the lower rate spring would be taller or spacers installed. Another note to all I didn't see mentioned elsewhe...

Yes, I do happen to have a spare generator.. I don't take it to the races because it's too heavy to haul around, big Honda 5000 watt job. Are you looking to buy one? It's got very low hours on it - just a few days use during the last ice storm. Well, quote me a price. I'm broke but can't pass up on...

If you can't wait to see how one works before they make them for 15's, buy one and I'll use it on my lil' 10's and let you know. Oh, BTW, do you have a spare generator too?Beyond wrote:It's got to be easier than hauling Harold's bottle cooler! I might have to get one of those if they ever start making 15's.

Re: Pinion Angle
I guess I should have included the statement (in a perfect world). Yes, changing engine angles in a stock vehicle is very hard to do, and most of the time not worth the effort. Maybe I'm just getting a little spoiled with the scratch built stuff. Yeah, I knew you had tube chassis cars on your mind....

Duh, Should have known that. Guess I've been looking at too many 4 link dragsters lately. So on the sprung cars are you talking about 4 link cars, ladder bar or leaf? I'd say 4-6 degrees for leaf spring cars but, I would think the Cal-Tracs would control a lot of the spring wrap-up so, 4 degrees as...
