Re: Question for Craig W.
Thanks for the reply I reread the instructions last night and it seems I'm still missing something. Maybe my wiring is not right. Tell me do you have to have the status led hooked up or the gpio hooked up. I have the gpio turned off. Also will the system work if the car is off. I have the minimum rp...

Question for Craig W.
I need some help with my Cometic nitrous controller. Just installed the unit in my car and can't get it to work. I have wired as the instructions say. I can't get the system to fire the solenoids. I even started the car and tried to run the system but it still wouldn't work. When i open the program ...

Re: Front shock single adj / strange
Yes I do have ranchos in the back and lakewood 90/10 in the front. I had the competition engineering shocks awhile back and these are 10x better. The problem I have now in not being able to control the front end of my car. I think I'm going to need adjustables up front to keep it down. I haven't mad...

Re: Front shock single adj / strange
Another thing to think about is the rancho 9000 shocks for the rear, it's a good adjustable shock for the rear and not as high as strange

Re: Front shock single adj / strange
I know a guy that went mid 5's with 90/10 in the front and 50/50 in the back. I have the 90/10 in the front of my car but I feel like I need something with more adjustment. If you don't care to spend the money go with the strange but if your like me i'd have to try the lakewoods.

Re: Front shock single adj / strange
For the money it's hard to beat the lakewoods. I've seen some guys go pretty quick with them.

Re: Piston to head clearance?
I have a nitrous bbc and my piston was made to set .010" below deck height. I think my head gaskets are .040". I've seen alot of nitrous guys use .060" gaskets.

Re: Nitrous fuel
We have been running torco 118 nos fuel, Its called competition race fuels now. Its about the only thing we can get around here and pretty cheap. I think I paid $476 for a drum of it. If you want the best and your going to spray alot get vp c-23. I'd like to try it myself but cant find anyone with v...

Re: Bigger Fogger Jets or Plate
1. a 42 jet is a hell of a tune up for one system. I wouldn't go any bigger unless it was a resricted to one system. In the new engine masters Jeff Prock got 520Hp out of a 40 jet, but I'd say that's a best case situation. It's a pretty lean tune with conservative timing. 2. A Plate would be alright...

Re: Fuel safety switch
Yes, A lot of guys say that the will open and close the circuit for no reason, so it makes your nitrous go on and off all down the track. I've never ran one and have never had a problem.

Re: New to nitrous
The porcelin is what you want to look at. The very bottom is wide open, where your at on nitrous. I also like to run ngk plugs. The groung strap is weaker than the autolite. I don't know much about your distributor but i'm sure it can be locked out. MSD's have the springs you can change to change th...

Re: New to nitrous
If it was me I would lock your distributor out. No need in fighting with the timing advance. Do you have a timing retard that is activated with the nitrous on? I built my own flow tool and got a gauge from nitrous supply. The gauge cost me $90 but i'm sure you can find a cheaper one.

Re: Cometic Progressive Controller
As soon as I get my ignition problem figured out I'm going to try to get one. It's alot cheaper too. There are numerous guys having good luck out of the edelbrock, but there are alot of horror stories. I've got a couple haha.

Re: Cometic Progressive Controller
Im thinking about buying one. Not trashing edelbrock units but I have one that works when it wants to. They are very bad at picking up noise and I've done everything you can do to one. Craig said the comectic was mounted close to his msd and everything. That a big selling point for me.

Re: New to nitrous
To set your regulator you should use a flow gauge right off your regulator with the fuel jet your running. If your gauge is mounted to the engine it's probably off from the vibration. Also if it's dead headed the pressure will rise to say 9lbs but as soon as you turn on the nitrous it could drop to ...
