Re: Firewall clearance

Plus Mike Im sure your talking about making the crank trigger distubuter that uses the ford cap to fit? I wouldnt want to use a smaller cap on a nitrous car like yours. When you start pulling all the timing out to spray it on a small cap you would be more prone to a misfire. I would make the big cap...

Re: 9.99 Cert

Theres no NHRA certification for a cage slower than a 8.50 sticker. NHRA rules say that cage you have is good to 10.00 as soon as you go 9.99 you'll need the full sportsman 10pt or 12pt whatever it is, wich is the cage that will cert to 8.50. Now as far as that door bar being legal to go 10.00 Im no...

Re: Head Gaskets For 300 Shot of Nitrous ?

Sounds crazy but yes that felpro 1004 will handle a 300 shot. Ive done it for an entire season on a felpro 1010 wich is the same gasket design as a 1004 but has a thinner compressed thickness. I have actually sprayed 350+ on a set of used felpro 1010s and they held up fine. I wouldnt recomend doing ...

Re: What would you change in my setup?

Or if you get the new 235s, or buy Craigs setup let me know if you want to get rid of the 227's. I may be interested in them for my ride. It would like to have a real motor instead of just the little 355, and 360 I have for it. 8-)

Re: Aftermarket Discs

I have Wilwoods on my car all the way around and they are saftey wired. 3200lb car with the brakes that are recomended for a 2800 lb car, it stops just fine. I do have their aluminum master cylinder and a parachute also. The car will stop just fine without the chute If I wanted to not throw it.

Re: Starting point for timing and nitrous retards

Ive been running my car all season on one kit, with the capabilities of having two. I dont recomend starting with both. Tuning them to both work together is something that takes time. I had a few hits on two kits at the end of this year and I didnt quit have it right yet. I can tell you that my fogg...

Re: rim screws

Thanks guys Im ok and we'll fix the car. Its got some frame damage, most of the sheetmetal, the front bumper, and Im sure all four tires need replaced. The radiator, hood, and right front wheel I think are going to be ok. Its just one of those things it happens sometimes when these cars are making b...

Re: SBC Blocks.

A little m will handle a 1000hp fine. Im making that or damn close to that on a stock 010 casting 350 block. Its pushing the limit for sure but its doable.
