Re: Tested on Saturday!

i dont see a lot of body separation in those videos. it looks like it squats from the tire hit but little body separation, like a good ladder bar car should be. the vids are not very clear, but i also dont see the tire barely deforming... i was under the impression that a nice flat contact patch is ...

Re: Lexan Windows - Is Marguard worth it?

I priced a 4x8 sheet of 3/16" Marguard for $365 and a sheet of regular 3/16" for $165. One sheet will get really close to doing an entire Nova. It might be a tad sort on one quarter window but I haven't measured it all up just yet. i bought a 1/8 4x8 sheet locally for 85 and a tinted one ...

Re: Lexan Windows - Is Marguard worth it?

you can get enough lexan to do the whole car for like $190 and have a couple of spare blanks for a new windshield so i would go that route. the margard stuff is silly expensive.

Re: drag engine questions. 383 sbc

ok, so the choices so far are(under 1700 assembled)

chad speier import core, full cnc 210 cc $1620
afr 210 cnc chamber only $1568
trickflow 215 cc as cast $1500

i guess the real question is, what is the best head for under $1700/pair assembled out there, in the 210cc to 220 size range

Re: drag engine questions. 383 sbc

With more cam it would make 550, with the setup he has currently has 500, and yes i would say the carb is to big. My old 383 made 550 to the wheels on a chassis dyno with AFR 210's, my car is also a 4 speed car so the drivetrain is very effiecient...maybe it makes 600hp? I also used 1 3/4" hea...
