We finally got the engine and trans back in the car. I was begining to wonder if I was ever going to get it put back together. In this part of the country we cant use ABS plastic pipe(black), also we use the teflon tape as the sealant and pipe dope as lube. Maybe we are just wrong. If it were me I would want brazed copper for anything that could see 150 psi.

Wow John that is a nice looking chassis. I wish my jusk was a 1/10 that clean. Also think you need some new headers to go with all the rest of the new parts, that way you could sell me your old ones cheap

Defenitly get the biggest valve in there you can since you getting head work done and you need a few new valves anyway.

reusing copper head gaskets?
Is there a trick to reusing copper gaskets? Im a little worried about the water jackets sealing up. If its not a good idea can you use the MLS gaskets with orings?

I cant remember right off hand but I bought the welded 4 link kit from checkered racing made my own tubs and tin from sheet aluminum. I think I had right around $2000 in it give or take $200. We also narrowed our rear end ourselves. Dont make the same mistake I did and not narrow your rear end enoug...
