Re: Dont laugh too loud!

I agree that you should save for something better, because when you break the rear end you run the risk of tearing up other stuff too, and it won't always break on the starting line?

I am getting ready to buy a new helmet, I have been told i will need to get a full face helmet because I am going from a car that ran mid to high tens, to one that runs in the mid to low nines, It is a full body chassis car, I have been hesitant to go with a full face helmet as I wear glasses? d...

Re: mopar 8 3/4 or ford 9

sounds like the 9" is the way to go. Any info on housings? I would like to start with a new aftermarket housing, cant really afford a fabbed one like a moser or comp eng, but the currie 9 plus looks nice and I can weld? I like the idea of having 3" tubes and could add a rear brace? And las...

mopar 8 3/4 or ford 9

Getting ready to build one from scratch. I know the ford 9" rear is like the "standard" for drag cars. but what about using the mopar 8 3/4" ? It seems like I can build the mopar cheaper than the 9". The car will be at the 750HP, 2000Lb level. anyone running them???? experie...

Re: towing sway control????

I think its time for me to check my tonque weight and car placement. With my hitch the trailer sets level. Your right Drummond racing about the 4.10s and th400. It really buzzes when you try to run over 70mph. Had a edelbrock 750 and got about 5-6 mpg. went to a quadrajet, seems more responsive but ...

Re: Feedback on hook

I got a buddy with a pontiac like yours. He has the same size slick as you but he has ladderbars and coilovers, He has a 455 with a TH400 trans and 4.10 gear. He leaves off idle or between 1200 to 1600 rpm. His car yanks the front end about a foot off the line and runs 11.00 to 11.20s. Gotta love th...

Re: pinion spacer instead of a crush sleeve

I ran a crush sleeve in my 12 bolt for years without a problem, BUT it was a foot brake car
I was advised and did use a solid spacer on the new car because it has a transbrake in it. It hits the rearend alot harder!
