Ok. Is there a better way. I know the truck is on an incline, would that make a difference? There is a whooshing sound when you pump the brakes. I put a remaned master cylinder on and bench bled it. Just getting to be at a loss.
How about a vaccuum bleeder?

Re: Brake issues on a truck
John, I bled these a number of times. No chance it is the booster? Or check valve on booster?
I started at the back rear, worked my way forward. It does have the rear wheel anti lock brakes system. Could that be an issue?

Re: Truck
Thank you MytMouz. Just still getting through the gunk / grime, and trying to get everything fixed. Example, 1 starter bolt. So fixed that. I can't get good brake pedal when the truck is running, good pedal when truck is off, start it and pedal goes to the floor. Inside the oil spout looks like ther...

Brake issues on a truck
Hey All. I have a 1994 chevy C1500 Silverado, I have been trying to get the brakes sorted out for some time now. I replaced all the lines / calipers / pads / rotors / wheel cylinders / master cylinder. only thing not replaced is the Booster/prop valve/ABS. If the truck is not running, the pedal is g...

Truck

I am looking at making this a work/tow truck, its main purpose is to haul a car about 20 miles on an open deck trailer to the track and back, occasionally it will need t...

Re: tranny cooler position
Supernova, do you get the same airflow with the trans cooler in the back like that? I have a Derale cooler with the fan attached, will that cool as much as the cooler in the front of a 79 camaro? I also have to remove the bumper support to save weight, but also let the airflow come in better.

Question on Parts and Fitting
I have a question. Will a Moser 9" rearend out of a 75 Camaro fit in a 71 Nova? Also, looking to swap the powerglide out of the camaro and into the Nova, is there any issues with fitting? Different Crossmember? Last will the Driveshaft work? Is the rearend wider in the camaro than the Nova? I a...

02 Yukon Denali
I have a question. What should an 02 Denali be idling at? Its a 6.0 and has been surging and stalling. My wife drives the yukon to and from work, since its not even 2 miles a day. The fuel pump went out about a month ago. I changed that and the fuel filter. I took all the engine covers off and repla...

Re: Need some opinions
John, its more a weekend bracket car, there are not many restrictions at the track I go to. I do drive the car to a cruise in once in a while. Do you need more information on the combination? Do you think its worth taking to the dyno and do a tune. Next, the RPM Range on the cam is 1800 to 6500, do ...

Need some opinions
I am not sure if this is the correct area, but here goes, and all opinions are welcome. I have a 79 Camaro, currently a standard bore 454, TRW LS6 Pistons, Comp LS6+ camshaft, GM 990 Rec heads, Harland Sharp 1.7 Roller Rockers, GM 1054 forged crank, dimple rods, Edelbrock Vr in take, Proform 850 pla...

Oil Filter and Oil questions / comments
Ok, I have a question. What kind of Oil Filter does everyone use on their race car/street car/daily driver? On my car I was using K&N oil Filter, I was using Fram Filters. On my street cars I have been running Fram Filters (2000 dodge caravan and 2002 yukon denali). Is there a difference in the ...

Re: Dodge Master Cylinders
My dad plans on dragging the car. Its a 406/th350 10bolt, I am guesstimating the car to be in the low 11's. Its a 71 nova. We just gutted it, put in an 8pt cage, frame connectors, then fixed a whole lot of stuff, body mounts where original, so we switched to aluminum. Fuel Cell. His current Master c...

Re: Dodge Master Cylinders
John, I unthreaded the rod and reset the locknut, do I need to safety wire it? I'll try pulling the brake pedal out to make sure its in there snug enough. I do have another question. My dad has a 71 nova, 4 wheel drum brakes. Is there a cheap way to convert to disk? Will the Mopar master cylinder wo...
