Re: Congrat's Mike Peters new PB

Thanks guys and thanks to John for all the help he's given. In fact, it's his Big Shot plate I'm borrowing. I was most happy with the 1.17 60'. Bumped into the nitrous over-rev limiter several times on that pass before I got to the stripe or I think she would have gone over 130.

Re: Bore and stroke for new motor

If you're looking for longevity in a durable street engine and not hung up on making the absolute most power, I'd opt for a shorter stroke to lessen the side thrust of the more severe rod angularity. Should be less wear and tear on pistons and rings. The Big M will accept lots of bore and we all kno...

Re: Another Try....

Good job my ugly younger brother. Ask Mr. John Heard about nitrous switch suggestions. Omron industrial roller limit switch is a clue. Microswitches mounted on the carb are notorious for intermittent contact. Save your pennies, buy this switch and mount it to the pedal linkage so there's no flex to ...

Unless he's changed it, the event is 1/4 mile and I don't run 1/4.

Re: Return of the Death Nova

Interested in your progress Craig because I'm just now getting to the point where I'm turning up the wick a little with the Big Shot plate John is letting me borrow. You said earlier in this thread that you're limited to a 200 HP shot which you described as being limited to a 76 jet or the 53 jets f...

Re: Another Try....

Keep a close eye on things if you intend on spraying it with 110 octane. Even the small jets in the plate can increase the cylinder pressure greatly.

Re: Finally Broke into the 4's

Thanks.. We're on the m/t 275 pro That tire is pretty amazing. Putting that tire on our Nova has totally changed it. The car never ran this hard on the slick and so far, we have not been able to find the limit of how hard we can hit it. We have found what to do to make it do a 200ft wheel stand. LO...
