Re: Dash / Gauges question

No, I haven't heard of that..but that would work great because the aluminum would be strong enough to hold the weight of the gauges and I could counter sink the screws and make it look really nice. Also, anyone ever use a common connection point for getting power to all the gauges so that its clean ...

Re: Great Weekend...

I live about 2miles from the Westside Jeg's and about 11miles from the "MAIN" store on 11th ave. We hang out there at night during the GoodGuys Event. The color is PPG House of Kolor, and it's Candy purple over a silver base with a "secret" amount of pearl additive in the clear c...

Re: SBC Blocks.

I run a Little M for my 434 and I run 15:1 comp and it's not even O-ringed, just good Fel-pro gaskets and very nice ARP 220 head bolts and very very true surfaces. Ran that compression for 4summers on the street and track, not one problem and we estimate that the motor makes about 650-700 at the cra...

Re: Great Weekend...

Hey Bruce, where abouts in PA do you live? I grew up about an hour south of Pittsburgh, a town called Uniontown! I grew up racing at the old Keystone Dragway that is now under new management so I hear.

I live in Columbus Ohio now...so we only got about 7" :)

Dash / Gauges question

After talking with everyone on here, and doing some digging on the net about those Covan's Classic dash's I've decided that it's not worth my time to mess with that for the money they charge. So, I want to pluck out my old dash cluster, with all the old skool swing gauges, and inlay a nice carbon fi...

Re: It's green!

I like that color...it really does flop..you can see it in the pic's. I took a year to get mine on the road 7yrs ago and since then I"ve just been changing and improving. STILL don't have interior in it though...well, not interior I'd like to show off haha

New Gearhead born on Nov13th @ 5:03am

After 22hrs of labor and an eventual C-section, Jacob Scott was born at 5:03am on Nov. 13th (yes that's FRIDAY the 13th) and was 6lbs 15oz and 19" long. Momma and baby are doing great and all is well. Still in hospital to keep an eye on mom but should be home by Tuesday of this week. My dad was...

Re: Haven't been around much this summer...

I thought about doing that...but unfortunately I want to be able to drive this thing and go to some of the bigger events around Columbus. So many good events/shows but I can't attend even 1/2 of them because I'm so limited now by my race fuel needs. The alcohol would be no different unfortunately. I...

Re: Haven't been around much this summer...

OH NO! Anything I build goes down the 1320 and hard! My 434 is an O-ringed motor Dart Little M so I run those Titan head gaskets and I currently have 15:1 and in 3yrs of street/strip not one prorblem. If it can handle the 15:1 beating the snot out of the insides for that long, I'm confident that it ...

Haven't been around much this summer...

Just thought I'd say whatsup to everyone on here and say that I've been trying to keep up with every one's projects, and progress on the track, but haven't had much time to post. Gonna have a little boy here in about a week, and so had to get ALOT done around the house. Put a 352square foot paver st...

Question oh wise ones on what to charge for a 468 BBC

My father has a 468BBC that he got in a trade for work he did. The guy gave him a wrecked Studie couple street rod and one of the things that my pop's isn't interested in keeping is the 468. It's a flattop motor, about 10.5:1, oval port iron heads and a fairly aggressive cam but nothing real nasty. ...

Re: Go To Guy

Actually...I'm very surprised that no one's talked or told a story of his prick getting his ass handed to him. I mean..really if he's this bad on a forum, he's GOT to be this bad in person and I don't give a shit about setting an example..I just knock him the hell out! Every track / local hangout ha...

Thanks man for the info...I've decided against it. I'm going to try and come up with something very unique. I'm not sure what that is yet :) but I'm gonna try.

Re: Removing the speedo from a 69 nova for a roll cage install.

You know Mike....you aren't the first person to say that to me about how poorly it fit. I thought the first guy was just not taking his time and such...but 2 people basically telling me the same thing about two different cars (his is a nova) then I'm going to guess they aren't as nice as they make t...

Re: Removing the speedo from a 69 nova for a roll cage install.

I'd like to chime in on this thread with a question that is related...I'm going to go with one of those Covan's dash inserts that are the carbon fiber looking type, and I'm going to put all my own gauges in and make the interior a bit cleaner looking and get rid of all my gauges laying everywhere. T...
