Re: New 1/4 mile ET

There is no dedicated 275 radial class around here. They are legal at one track where I run Outlaw 8.5. People have tried it but the 8.5s so far have been faster. Plus, I like running the little tire and seeing people scratching their head, wondering how we go that fast on a tiny tire. Yes, the 275...

Re: New 1/4 mile ET

They are Aerospace drag brakes. I had the Aerospace Pro Street brakes on it until this spring. I swapped to the drag rotors and took the spacers out of the calipers. 6 lbs lost as I recall. I was just playing around on the radials since the 26x8.5s are too short for me to run 1/4 mile. All my real ...

Re: New 1/4 mile ET

Old set of plugs most likely. I cracked a couple plugs at the track a few weeks ago and only had some old ones to put in. It ran fine and I completely forgot about it until last weekend. I figure those two plugs are the culprit. Thanks. It was nice to have a real 8-second timeslip, even if it doesn...

Re: Indoor Drag Racing? Come check it out!

Slot cars those were the good old days. Raced the open class cars, 0-60 in a blink of an eye, could hardly even see those cars they went so fast. Cobalt magnets the works. AH good old days. No tracks left here in So. Ca. that I know Buena Park Raceway is the nearest I belive. Could be worth a trip....

Re: Indoor Drag Racing? Come check it out!

I loved racing slot cars. I still have all my stuff , and even buy models every now and then with the chance I can find a chance to build a few more cars. I live in So. cal and raced all the Hard Shell Nats, and other big weekedn races. Its funny that we would back the truck drive 3 hours, get a hot...

Re: th350 build buy what to do

well i wish u guys running th350s well but dont believe the hype that just because it takes less power to turn a 350 that is a solid reason to pick over the 400...do the research by talking to a reputable trans builder that builds performance trannys not just standard rebuilds.also a stock built 40...

Re: To counter Special Ed on rim screws!!!!!!!!!

Also note at the bottom that rim screws are NOT recommended for the radials. Jesse Lambert posted pics on the D/R board where his tires the beads got torn apart by rim screws...very dangerous situation. that is when High Tack or beadlocks come in. running 7.56 @ 181 on a 275 may require something t...
