Re: Caltracs
very easy to set up use this as a starting point afyer installed put a nickel between the leaf spring and the bolt tha makes contact with the spring and set it there like you setting valves and start testing.
i think hardest thing of the whole job it getting the front bushin out of the front spring eye after that it's a cake walk

Re: Caltracs
actually, if you read the directions, you're supposed to set them with the bar as close to parallel to the ground in the adjustment holes. With the weight of the driver in the car, turn the bars where the pin just touches the top of the spring then give it another 1/4 turn. Thats what my directions told me. They'll ask you a bunch of questions about your car when you order. Usually, they'll have the bar in either the top or bottom, whichever they feel best suits your application. Then, you just adjust the preload like i said before. They are nice people to deal with and they work damn good. There's a lot of fast cars around here that run them. btw, if the bar is in the top hole, it will hit the tires harder. If its in the bottom it'll hit softer. I ended up moving mine down to the bottom after we got the ride height set in the front because they were running uphill.chpcamaro wrote:very easy to set up use this as a starting point afyer installed put a nickel between the leaf spring and the bolt tha makes contact with the spring and set it there like you setting valves and start testing.
