Just curious where does the 14-16 to inch centerline idea come from? Wouldnt it matter on how low or high your car is?Im asking because Im in the process of relocating my motor back up to its stock location but I have no idea of the height of the crank CL

Several years ago I moved a sbc back 1'' I believe it took 15lbs of the front weight .Weight in front of the front tires hurts the rear % the most because it has a leverage effect on the rear.I think the more rear weight the more traction you will have at the first hit of the throttle
