tire pressure

it really depends on the rear weight of your car lighter cars can get a way with less pressure than a heavy car plus side wall height will have a effect also

I just read in the latest Chevy Hi-Performance mag where they had a feature article on Artis Houston's Nova that runs the same tire and it said he uses 15-18 psi. in his. Looked like he had 10" rims on his, that might be a little wider than yours.

Well I,m using 26x10.5x15 MT ET streets on 9" rims. Some time next year, prob will up grade to a 26x11.5x15..Give me close to 2" more tread on the ground. Should be able to run another lb or so. Get rid of the suirming,I,m hoping. That and getting some front end travel. http://www.mokandragway.com/fd_photos/f ... _05_41.jpg

well i ran 12.5 lbs through the quarter and it felt fine, hooked good with the cal trac adjustment i made. only got to make 1 pass tho, so i didnt get to spray it. did do another personal best on motor et 7.14 @ 96 mph in the 1/8 11.22 @ 118 in the 1/4. i was really wantin to spray it, i was hopin to get a 9 sec time slip but o well maybe next year i guess. thanks once again for every ones help and advice. i just ordered a kit from smith racecraft to move my shocks inboard since 1 of them is hitting the frame rail during travel. yall nova and camaro guys check his stuff out, he has some pretty nice pieces.

WOW. My 1st pass duplicated yours.lol 1/8 et was 7.12 @ 97.68 and 1/4 et was 11.14 @ 121.29. I,m sure 10,s will be there as soon as I get the dropped spindles switched out for std height, and loosen up my shocks. My 60 ft is the pitts @1.6108 for that run.

Well seems your hooking lots better than I am. Hope to improve my set up soon. I have removed my dropped spindles and have sent them back to TCI for exchange. Will allow the front end to come up some, hopfully planting the tires better. Than want to put a little delay in the No2 system to allow me to go up to 200 shot. Any way lots of rust and paint work to do this winter.Racing is pretty much over here, this next Sunday is last day and the weather isnt looking that good,

Run as much pressure as possible and still allow the car to hook. These aren't bias ply slicks and they need more air to support the sidewalls and keep the tread from "cupping".

On a 275/60 M/T ET Street Radial, I run anywhere from 17 to 19 lbs, never had a reason to run less than 16 lbs.
