That wrinkle is not excessive but I think you can be a little better with a wider wheel. I do like wheel screws because it makes the sidewall stiffer. It lets you put more hit in the car. A leaf spring car needs all the help it can get.

THANK YOU!
Those are 10 inch rims by the way.

David, I'll have to disagree with you as screws do NOT make the sidewall stiffer!

Further I know a little about hitting the tire on a leaf spring car and this one ain't got rim screws either running a best of 1.27 60 foot off the footbrake...

I stated that back on page 1!

johnh... here's my offer to you. I'll be at Cecil October 10 & 11 competing in the Last Chance Footbrake Race...

Show up with your car and if I don't have it working better and running quicker by the end of the weekend I'll give you $100!

BIG difference in what you do then and what I and those I compete with weekly do.

We ain't there to have fun, we have a big investment in time and $ committed to what we do.

We're there to win rounds, win races, accumulate points, win a championship and our fun starts at the end of the event when we're counting the cash we've won and adding up the points we've earned over dinner with our friends and competitors!!

When our shit breaks whether it be an engine, trans, rear, we make every effort to fix it in 5 days or less so as to not miss the next event.

When that's not possible, we're borrowing an engine, trans, etc or lining up a ride for the next event but we ain't missing it!!

Ah. Then the 'not having fun' thing is what we're working on today ? I'd say that some of us are very good at 'not having fun'. <laffin>

I'll play let's stump footbraker. I have a 10.5w tire on a 12 inch rim, with tubes and rim screws, and 7.5psi. SO how come if tubes and screws don't work I run 1:16 to 1:18 60 ft times, depending on the track... :nutkick:

Problem comprehending what you read huh?

I never stated "tubes and screws don't work", I stated the original posted didn't need them as well most that post here!

Now to answer your question just cause you claim to run 1.16 -1.18 60 foot times when you're not blowing the tire away at the hit don't mean your running the right tires and the right air pressure.

What you are doing is spraying the shit of another one of the swap meet grenades you throw togther...

What part of the TRUTH, the FACTS and my PROVEN advice don't you like John!

Seemed you like it when you contacted me about 4 years ago asking my opinion about the 24 degree Profilers! ;)

Not the makings of a good leader/manager/supervisor when you make decisions by committee/public opinion but perfect for a politian and a internet webmaster! :smt038

I hope you make a lot of $ off this board cause you'd never make it in big business! :-P

I've been banned from far better boards whose members have far more knowledge and racing experience! wgaf:

Meanwhile, I have offered to tune johnh's car for free with a $100 guarantee attached and rather than acknowledge my goodwill effort you offer me up to be banned!

Unfuckingbelievable!

Ed, my swap meet grenade is as fast as yours on motor, the spray is to show you the tailgate on my truck ANY time I want. And since you brought up the subject of your vast experience and track time, I'll ask the same question from the old GDR board you never did answer. just how many of those races were final round wins...

What a fucking joke!
Ed, as you know, it's your attitude that keeps getting you banned from so many forums, not that you don't have some good advice from time to time. The reason I put it up to a vote is I want YOU to see just how many people think you're a waste of time here.
