1.48 60ft...3800 d/a

After installing the 8" converter I've been chasing the suspension ever since, been to the track 3 times, all 3 times blowing the tires off at the line. I set the shocks to full soft, dropped air pressure in slicks to 10psi per my guage, 15 psi per a friends guage, I tend to believe his guage because I think I would have been all over the track with air pressure that low in my heavy barge. I spun the first two passes, hooked the last two after shock, air pressure change, went 1.486/1.492 besting my previous best of 1.507 in alot worse weather conditions. All along I've been told full stiff, higher air pressure, and maybe the HR antiroll bar is doing its job so the shocks didnt have to be so stiff. Now I can move forward

Good going Bob. People should try to use only there air gauge as they all very from one another. No matter what the pressure is on your gauge always set it up to that number. We use a CSI gauge and they are very good and usally recalibrate it for N/C over the winter. Keep up the good work Bob..

Thanks....It was at Ozark, and it was finally above 50*. I just didnt think it would hook being so soft in the rear, always heard stiff, stiff, stiff. It didnt squat, it just hooked and felt like it lunged. Felt great!!!

Not knowing your set-up Bob, what brand of shocks are you using? Are they single adjustable or double?

I used to have a set of Hal Stocker Stars when they first came out. I was signed up to attend a Dave Morgan Seminar and Dave was bringing a shock dyno offering to test everybody's shocks if they brought them. I had never mounted them on the car so they were new in the box. You can imagine how I felt when he tested them and they were basically junk as the adjustment knob changed very little as far as the valving. A lot of guys are having success with the QA-1's now so, I assume the quality or valving design has improved since then. Glad to hear you're getting results from them.
