Cal-Vert Split Mono Leaf Spring Rates

#1 Post by John_Heard » Wed Feb 17, 2010 9:44 pm

Anyone ever measured to see if there is variation from one Cal-Vert Split Mono to the next? If so how much did you see? I've got a 30 lb variation from one side to the other and I think it's the springs but have to pull and switch them to find out for sure.

I have not done that because I don't know anyone that has the scales to use to weight it the proper way to find out but I have read on other boards that they do get some variance. I'd have to think they would because of the design...

I had a brain fart when I was checking this... I forgot to check to make sure the rear tire pressures were the same, so my test was invalid. I did think to back off the cal-trac's but forgot the tire PSI. lol ... Oh well, I'll check it again when I get it the cage in it.
