Hey Jeff!!!!!!! A couple of things and maybe Mike will chime in on this  ..
Trying to reduce tire spin on launch.
I do see a lot of chassis movement in the rear. If you try to reduce that and try to keep it to a 1/2 or less it will keep the tire more "round" if you catch my drift  Longer bars is possible what you need..On another note I think if you try to keep the front end down more to keep less air from going under the car it's going to go faster for sure...

I have a strange strut front end...

Stiffening the rear shocks or trying a stiffer spring??
About the shocks, we tested a lot of set ups and the body's movement and tire slipping never changed as well... My idea still is to use 125lbs on the rear springs...now it's 150lbs...What do you think?

My conclusion is about the Ladder Bar lenght...it's lifting the rear of the car...based on the engine power, the car should have the wheels up easily...but it does not happen.

About the front suspension, it's a study that I'm doing for a new Project I'm planning to do...I was looking for new tools and I got curious about the Bump Steer on Drag race cars...I'm sure it's really important on circuit cars, but I don't know if you pay close attention to it.

The bump steer is real important on Drag car...Think of it this way. Take a street car and if you could move the front suspension it's full travel it will toe in and out a lot....Now think it you had that same car going down the track say 125 MPH and hit the brakes hard and the nose of the car goes down  ....

I need to look at more of the vids...I'll be back later

Hey Dude, how's going??

In February I did the Dave's Seminar...
Next week I'll be there to go to SEMA...but now I received an invitation to go to the Jerry Bickel Race Car Performance Class...

What did you already hear about it?? Do you feel that $1250 will be well invested on it??

Thanks

Hello All,

That's a 91 Chevy Chevette that we are building a 3/4 chassis...that's for the Turbo Class, 2.0 liter 16 valve, 4 cylinders, fuel injected...the rulebook says to use Drag Dot Radial tires, Ladder bar suspension (4 link is prohibited), Dana 50 rear end and manual transmission.

Take a look at the pics...I hope to be here everynight again to update the next steps...

Enjoy it!!

Thanks,
