Hello Dragstuff Friends!!

After a long time, i'm here again!!!

During this time, I joined to the Yellow Dot Society in Scranton through the Dave Morgan Seminar. It was amazing!
I have no words to say how important it was to me!!! I loved to meet Dave and all the guys which had contact...

Then, I went to Evansville to know the AFCO Racing factory. There I did some training programs about shocks, tuning tips and testing at the dyno. I closed our first order to introduce the AFCO products here...I recommend their products for all!!!

After that, we finished the Blue Opala Project (wait for new pictures soon) and moved up some part of the Red Polara.

Last week we introduced the AFCO shocks on the Brazilian cars. The race was last weekend. We got 2 wins (Turbo and Street Class) and 1 record (Turbo class)!!!

Watch the video of the Record (Turbo Class):

Now I hope to be here everyday again!!!
See ya!!

Hey my dear!! How're you???????? :thumb:

 ...I have a lot of good things to share with you...
With the White GM Opala we broke the ET record of the 1/8 mile track...
On the other view...
It's easy to check the ARB is needed there...Then, we projected, built one and went to our best 1/4 mile track... We got a miracle!!! The first 6 Cyl Turbo on the 8's!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That's true!!!!!!!!!!!!It's real!!!!!!!!!!!!! :thumb: :thumb: :thumb: :thumb:
With the roll rotation solved, the mission now is to reduce the tire slipping during the launch...in my opinion the problem is with the Ladder bars...they are too short...24" for 105" of wheelbase...it is lifting the rear of the car...but we are going to test a new set of rear springs, lighter than the current set...but i believe the Ladder bar lenght issue is bigger than with a simple lighter springs solution.

Beyond this, we launched our official website last week, take a look:

http://www.w2racingchassis.com.br

If you have some words to write about these poor chassis builders here...I would get happy to have your words registered on our website...

http://www.w2racingchassis.com/depoimentos

So, as you can check, we working hard everyday...to improve our knowledgment, our projects...

Nice to come back to the Dragstuff...I was out because the time was too short...sorry...

Thanks,

Very cool Jeff!!!!!!!!! Looks like you have a handle on it!!!

Im not to up on ladder bar but with a 4 link you don't want the chassis to move to much on the hit...I like
less than a 1/2 inch of separation at the hit and less than a 1/2 sec into the run the back is under the
ride height line for the rest of the run..
That one picture the tire is really folding up and may be causing it to slip some but on the other hand do you really want it to dead hook???
Im sure you have tryed alot of different set ups as far as tire pressure etc..
Can you install a logger to see what going on back there or even get a vid and slow it down frame by frame...

How many cubes are those engines and what size is the turbo???

I'm with you completely!!!

I'm not satisfied with 1,521sec as for the best launch for this car...there is a lot of torque and power...for now a lower 1,4s could be fine for the 275 Drag Radial Tires...it sounds not impossible for this car...my opinion...

When softer the bound is, the 60 foot gets bad...on the last test (8,920sec), we let the compression valve with 60%!!! I think it's too much...what do you think??

250CID with a big Bullseye...the size I can't precise now...but I'll check it later...

Jeff, I started with a 80lb spring in my car and ended up with a 125lb spring in it now and still need to do some more testing..
If the rear spring is to soft you going to try to control it with the shock setting.
Not the way to do it IMO.. You need to find the correct balance between the valving and the spring pressure.......
May our buddy Mike Peters can explain it better is this don't help you..

Where has mike been anyway???

Yeah...great.
The car has 660lbs over each rear spring...maybe 125lb with preload could be a good order...

How's your 4 link bars spread??

This is a good question to our friend Mike...Hey, where are you??

Hi Bruce!

I'm fine and have a lot of work in W2. Because we've lot of work, my car wait to continue the construction. I'm read a lot about the Dodge Neon SRT 4 engine to apply it in my car. With this modern engine I'll continue in the same class but with one engine easy to reach hp's than the original / old 1800cc engine.

Jeff, I will need to check but think I am 55" out and 3" up off the ground. .......
Now my car is a little different than what your running as we have 950 hp and runs low 8 sec @ almost 170mph in the 1/4  ...
Image

Here is a pic of my 4 link and it's not that clean anymore as this pic is when I was building it and pay no attention to where the bars are located as they were just set there for now.....
