does anyonr know about the weight of a 6-8 pt cage

My old cage was a 10 point, 1 5/8" x .134" mild steel and the weight was right at 140 lbs.

1 3/4 .095 mild steel pipe weighs approx 1 lb per ft.

Roll bars must be made of 1 3/4" tubing, cages can be made from 1 5/8" tube.

In chromoly, 1 5/8" x .083 weighs 1.367 lbs/ft. 1 3/4" x .083 weighs 1.478 lbs/ft.

In mild steel, 1 5/8" x .134" (ERW) wall weighs 2.134 lbs/ft. 1 5/8" x .120 DOM weighs 1.929 lbs/ft.

I couldn't find a weight for 1 3/4" x .134 wall, but 1 3/4" x .120 DOM weighs 2.089 lbs/ft.

Minimum wall thickness on chromoly is .083. On mild steel the minimum wall thickness is .118". Due to the fact that ERW mild steel tube had alot of varience in wall thickness, most use .134" to stay legal. DOM mild steel has tighter tolerance and some use .120" wall.

ERW mild steel (JUNK IMO), is the cheapest of course, but DOM mild steel is almost the same price as chromoly.

mild steel can be Mig ot Tig welded, chromoly MUST be Tig welded.

I would assume you would be able to call wherever is selling the cage you are looking at and ask the shipping weight. Unless your building one from scratch.
