Leaf spring slider instalation?

Been thinking about putting sliders on my camaro. Question, some pics I've seen they are mounted flat and some are at an angle like afco's paper shows that they should be mounted at the angle of the 2 leaf spring eye's centerlines. What, if any difference would it make? Would they work more freely at that angle?
