current project is a 31' Model a Ford p/u (all henry steel)
428 pontiac, thm 400, 9 in, 10.90 index
103" wheel base
straight axel with transverse leaf up front, ladder bar rear
these "gassers" seem to be a little loose at the top end of the track
or so I'm told - have not had the opportunity to drive one at the strip
i was advised to put in a lot of caster for one - 12 degrees
and have gotten many different opinions on steering ratio along with pitman length
looking at a saginaw 525 box instead of the vega box for margin of safety

Having once owned a straight axled T-bucket with a 440 Chrysler in it. All I can say is, better you than me...
