Composite leaf springs with Caltracs

Hi, have anyone used composite leaf springs on the strip?
I’d really appreciate some input, cause it’s hard to find good info on them. Brand unknown.
I’m looking into getting a set of Caltracs for them, but I’m not sure the springs can take the abuse.
The tech guy at Calvert thought that Landrum had manufactured a plate of some kind to spread the pressure from the roll pin, but I can’t find any info or picture of it.

Thanks

I've only heard of one guy that tried them on his Maverick, was like 10 years ago and he broke one. Might still be an old post on Yellowbullet about it, again been a long time ago and don't recall what brand they were. I supposed it would also depend how much power the car has to if they can stand up to the punishment or not.

I've thought about it a bit over the years and I think the rear leaf on a split mono spring could be composite as it does more work as a spring and less as a loaded suspension part.

Aouch, gotta see if I can find that post.
Was about to order new split monos from Calvert, but found I had to cut out and replace my brackets to make them fit so just trying to avoid more work.
But I guess it would be daft to take a chance when it comes to springs.
