hey david
thanks once again for the help on the phone the other night, we got it all took care of. drives very good. just a lil dissappointed in the performance of the car. car didnt pick up but 2 hundreths. gotta figure out whats wrong, something has to be wrong

any help
why would my car not pick up no ET. i went from a stock th350 with a 2500 converter to a coan th350with a brake and a neal chance bolt together, stock driveshaft to a MMC shaft, stock 8.5 10 bolt rearend with 4.56 gears and a mini spool with drum brakes to a 12 bolt, 33 spline moser axles, full spool, 4.10 pro gear, wilwood disks. slapper bars to cal tracs, stock steering to a rack and pinion, drums on the fronts to aerospace disks, went to fiberglass bumpers over stock, fiberglass hood over a stock. better carb. alot of stuff and i didnt pick up nothin but a couple hundreths, the weight alone should have been worth that. im so confused any help anyone ?? john u have any advice ??

That's a lot of change all at once. It certainly appears that you took quite a bit of weight out, not sure how much overall. However you also changed gear and converter at the same time. You did see a .20 decrease in ET but I'm sure you expected more after all that work. Perhaps the car doesn't like the taller gear or something.
What motor setup are you running? Have you figured up how much lighter the car is now? At least it didn't slow down!
I also saw new carb.. May have some tuning to do with this complete change in setup. Not to mention weather, it might be more ET savings on a better weather day, not sure what you're comparing on the runs.

It doesn't sound like it likes the new gear or converter if the MPH fell off. The weight reduction alone should have reduced the ET but MPH may have been about the same. One or more of the changes is canceling out the benefits of the lighter weight it sounds like. I would guess gear or converter, or weather.
Get your time slips out and let's look at the incremental #'s. Also what was the difference in the weather between the runs?
