I want to remove the rag joint from the steering and just have a solid connection at the gearbox. everyone has told me that i should not do that. this is a drag only car what do you think?

Should'nt hurt anything if you have the subframe braced to the cage with snout bars. If the subframe moves any on the launch then your going to feel it in the steering wheel.

Just make sure that it is all perfectly aligned or you will get the rope effect when steering.
