Edge Juice with Attitude

#1 Post by hugger73hatch » Tue Aug 12, 2008 10:03 pm

Anbody here run one on the tow truck? I am thinking about upgrading from the Edge EZ and just want to get some opinions. BTW the truck is a 2001 Dodge 2500 Cummins Turbo Diesel. I have replaced the injection pump and I have a couple extra goodies on it that I want to monitor. If anybody has one, do you know if it monitors fuel pressure? I know it does EGT and boost, and they say there are some others that it will monitor. Also will it work with the EZ box. I know you can buy it as a stand alone, but am not sure if it will only work with the attitude box.
Thanks,
Chris

Anybody thinking about getting one get it. I think they now make them for some of the gas trucks. It monitors everything on my truck, EGT, Trans Temp, Fuel PSI, Fuel Temp, Intake Temp, Boost, and a bunch of other stuff. Programmable by the push of a button, 5 different levels and I think max on mine is like 120 more HP and 350 ft lb of torque...and lots of smoke! Hahahaha.

I don't know anything about those boxes, but I own a 2003 Dually 5.9 Dodge Cummins and would like to try something to give her a little more umph in the hills with a heavy load and/or increase mileage if possible. I haven't done anything to mine yet, well besides taking the turbo silencer out hehe...

I think a better muffler tailpipe system would help a lot, and a better filter setup. I'm using a AMSOIL Nano filter in the stock box and it still will pull the filter changer guage to 50% after a hard pull.

I would definitely look into the Edge Juice with attitude. It will tell you just about everything you want to know and definitely will give the uumph. I am interested to see what it does for my mileage when it is set on that mode, as well as when I pull the car. Like I mentioned before, I had a different box on it, but I like the adjustibility this one provides as well as the monitoring. It will even back it down if some things get out of wack, such as excessively high EGT, it will back the timing down so you don't burn it up. On the wide open setting she will burn the rubber right off the wheels and give you lots of SMOKE!! I don't think I am going to do that too much though, but still a bit cool, especially when a ricer pulls up at a light next to me. :smt003

Interested to hear what it does for your mileage and towing. I'm not really interested in burning the tires off of it, that would probably knock out my tranny lol

I will let you know as soon as I find out. I was getting pretty good with the EZ turned all the way up, 18-19 on the highway and 14 pulling the car and trailer. My truck is a 4x4 extended cab.
