trailer weight 18 16 open

#1 Post by jaspermaggie » Sat Jul 10, 2010 12:45 pm

I am thinking of getting a trailer. I have a 55 chevy about 3500lb. My problem is I have an 00 ford explorer v6 3.73 auto 2wd. I would only go about 100m round trip and not that much. What does a 18" and 16" trailer weigh? I will eventually get a silverado. I am getting the cart before the horse.
My car is not as fast as I think it is.

My 18' H&H speedloader weighed 2000 lbs. I pulled it with a half ton GMC w/ 3.55s just fine.

Its a very good trailer for the money I think they are about $1800 now. Its very light in the front and has a long tounge which I think helps keep the weight distibuted in the right places. Ive had a full size service truck, blazer,,impala, and all kinds of cars on it.Towed my big block 66 chevelle with the trunk and interior full of stuff 3200 miles across country with no issues.
