Tow bar?

#1 Post by jaspermaggie » Sun Aug 08, 2010 7:21 pm

Ever used a tow bar to pull your car? It has a th350 do I need to disconnect the drive shaft? I am going 100 mi round trip. I have ford explorer to pull a 55 chevy 3500lb. I don't have a trailer (wont one bad) and if I did I do not have a truck to pull it (wont one bad). If I quit spending money on the car I might be able to do it but that makes too much since.
My car is not as fast as I think it is.

Drop the shaft. Definitley drop the shaft. Why not rent a tow dolly? Then you can tow the car backwards and not have to drop the shaft? Just tie the steering up real well.
