Thanks Craig, yes it definitely needs some wax. When things slow down a bit we're planning on replacing the exterior screws, old age has some rusting and staining the panels. NOT looking forward to that project at all.

I worked on replacing one of the rear door spring wires this weekend. That's certainly a fun project, especially trying to rewind that spring for the door. Also learned I cannot hold that door up with out the spring! lol.. Glad I didn't have my foot under it, that door seems to weigh at least 800 lbs lol..

Wow, I didn't know the doors are that heavy.

A new door flap is on my do-to list. I'm going to do something different than the piano hinge screwed to the wood but don't know what just yet. Got a few ideas floating around in my head.

Hopefully with the 28" tires, I won't have as much trouble loading the car. I'm thinking of cutting off the Caltrac plates since I don't see going back to the bottom holes.

I'm probably exaggerating a bit on the door weight - it was far more than I could handle by myself that's for sure. Note to self, get help next time deal. My door has long extension ramps and a additional layer of aluminum angle plate on it adding to the weight.

I got 5 lbs off my car when I cut down the cal-trac plates and replace the big heim bolts with tubular sprint car bolts. Picked up a lot more ground clearance, don't know how the car will like the different settings yet though.
