7al2 change up

thinking about ditching the digtal 6 and going 7al2 w crank triger and 3 stage retard for 2 kits any thoughts.. the rotor phaze thing has me a litle weak!!
make a plan and stick to it !!

I have that set up. Works fine for me. The rotor phase thing is pretty simple...

Go with the digital 7 and if you have a labtop go with the programmable 7 :mrgreen:

7531 is the way to go

By the time you get done buying the 7al-2 and all the other boxes to plug into it you could have bought a 7531... Plus, u dont have all those extra boxes in the way...

i have rpm switches rpm selector boxes and the 7al2 and a 3 step just not the crank triger that i need to buy regardless,,,and i carry a extra digital 6 for a spare... the 7531 and such is to hard to carry extra stuff like that. OUCH!!rember this is caveman racing i still have my vertex from the 80's and it may go behind the blower!!!

I added the crank trigger to my set up recently. (It was free) It is much easier on start up than it was with the 85551, which was no problem either. It also seems to be somewhat crisper in the throttle response. I haven't got to test it on the track yet, broke the tranny on the first trip out. All my hotrods will have a trigger from now on...
