Any truth that a converter on mech alky injection should be a little looser than a carb running gas??

that says that you lost low rpm power which should not happen if the mechanical injection is tuned correctly and has proper sized nozzles. Sounds more like a tuning issue. If you are changing to inj alky , i would recommend trying the converter just as it is to get a baseline as to how it works. Also it would be very beneficial to have something on the car that records engine rpm so your converter man can accurately make adjustments after you baseline the converter with the alky.
