I have seen alot of Novas lately missing the trim that goes around the window on the door itself. I came up with a trick that allowed me to remove mine without damaging it.
I'm sure everyone knows that it's fairly easy to unhook the bottom part of this trim. What I did to release the top was this: I got a thin 4" putty knife, with a little finess your can slip it under the top curled edge of the trim. You do this from the inward side of the door. Then you use a hammer and lightly tap the side edge of the putty knife along. Thi2 seemed to work really well on mine!
Anyways, thought I should share.
Greg
Something to this effect (couldn't find my 4" though)

Re: Nova trim tip
alot of the cars didnt come with it from the factory, low end cars had none on the door and had the trim on the quater window painted to match the car. BTW I have used a plastic wedge ground off, or a piece of poly and a hammer to roll it off on a number of cars

Re: Nova trim tip
That's weird that my car had it. It was a brown 6cyl with a powerglide and a bench seat.
