Undercoat

#1 Post by Bruce69Camaro » Mon Mar 01, 2010 11:15 am

Is it a good idea to spray the underside of your car/ tubs with undercoat?

I'm thinking about doing this but didn't know if it was a good idea or not?

I don't think so. I just paint mine. Under coat weighs more and I don't like having to clean the under....................

Ok, but let me ask this then, if you primer and paint the underside of your car, between the two coats, isn't that going to weigh about what undercoat weighs?

I guess it also depends on how much primer and paint you use but most times, maybe one or two coats of primer and two coats of paint vs one coat of undercoat, unless you spray it one extra heavy?
